What is it with people who throw cigarette butts out the window or start campfires or light fireworks when the wildfire danger is already sky-high?? Is this the same gene pool that thinks they can drive through a flooded wash without getting stranded & needing to be rescued - thereby putting the rescuers themselves at risk? Do they think the warning signs don’t apply to them or did they just never learn to read? What is wrong with our education system if we’re turning out so many people who can’t read? At this rate we’re going to be overrun with morons in no time, straining an already overburdened food supply, which will be compounded by the fact that these individuals aren’t qualified to perform even unskilled labor, so the supply chain itself will break down soon after. The only hope for humanity is to round up said morons & utilize them either as air-tanker payload to smother wildfires, or as ersatz-sandbags to divert floods. A win-win and poetic justice.
