Good things come in small packages
The last few posts on this blog have lived up to the name - the lust for ranting. I thought it would be good to provide a slight change of mood and rave about something instead. As a birthday gift, I was rewarded with the fabulous (is there any other kind?) new product from Apple: the iPod Nano. It was both an unexpected and absolutely delightful gift. I have never owned an MP3 player before and this was a gift from the Intelligent Designer(s). I am forever indebted to my beloved cousin for this. Out goes the jurassic walkman.
Mr. Jobs and his team have done a remarkable job (pardon the pun) in producing this literally nano thingie. It’s sleek, black, and ultra-cool. It fits most of my music and I can go jogging with it if I wanted to. It’s feminine and lithe as opposed to the macho 60G monster. The Nano comes with a World Clock and a Stopwatch. It’s supposed to be virtually indestructible though I plan to take care of it like a baby (get some practice, you know). The best thing is that it is based on flash memory as opposed to a hard disk in the other iPods. No skipping, or so they say. I am looking forward to many hours of enjoyment with this new baby of mine.
Speaking of Rantlust, am I the only one who noticed the new sub-title for the blog: Uncensored, Untamed, Unwashed? As our favourite actor, Keanu, would say, “Whoa, Mr. Sekhar!”.

The sub-title was a fellow ranter’s idea - not mine. The man has many such gems up his sleeve.
I was at the Apple store on Monday and took a look at the Nano - very cute, but not enough storage for my needs. Useful for runners, I suppose.
[...] The iPhone is finally here from the company now known simply as Apple Inc. What a beauty! Too bad it’s going to be a while before it’s available in Europe. It will be time to replace my trusty old Nano when that happens. [...]
