Food Inc.

If we are what we eat, then it’s definitely worth watching this movie to figure out what we’re becoming.

Two of the main contributors are Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser, both bestselling authors whose recent works have helped cast light on the greasy innards of our food supply machine.

  1. It is quite annoying to see that the seasons are slowly getting lost even in India (urban India). That used to be one of the biggest joys for me to live in India. Now, you see ads for Washington apple in so many colors, even the street cart fellows sell these apples and pears from the Americas and there are strawberries being sold in the hot tropical sun. All the super markets sell fancy zucchinis, brussel sprouts and what not. Taste the world is the theme here. I am not sure about the meat industry in India. But, I do see a lot of chickens caged in waiting for their turn. So, I don’t know if India has caught up with the west when it comes to animals. I really hope not.
