Read about this in the WSJ today… in an op-ed expressing the need to educate the general public (i.e., us) about how safe nuclear reactors (the power generating ones) are. The video is pretty awesome:

  1. Cool. I heard Richard Muller on radio the other day where he mentioned a surprising fact - that gasoline has 15 times the energy content (by weight - it is about half as dense) of TNT. That led me on an interesting web search on the differing properties of their combustion - which I suspect has placed me on some FBI list somewhere.

    I wonder how safe nuclear reactors are in the face of earthquakes. I’m sure the Japanese have lots of experience with that.
