Animal hijinks in Truckee, California. The BBC, that bastion of fair and “accurate” news reporting refers to Truckee as a Rocky Mountain town. And to think that until now, I thought the Rockies were in Colorado and up (OK, New Mexico and up)!
It seems like the BBC corrected the error. I did send an e-mail to them suggesting some geography text books. Maybe someone took notice.
Little birdie up so high
Dropped a message from the sky
As I wiped it from my eye
I thanked God that cows don’t fly
Maybe in this case we should change it to “Bear”
